Fine ArtsArt and Music
We use Meet the Masters art curriculum in which students learn about master artists such as Cezanne, Degas, Michelangelo, Monet, and Van Gogh. Students then practice the same techniques employed by the master artists to create their masterpieces.
In music, students learn a variety of Biblical, patriotic, and Christmas songs performed at concerts and chapel.
We take Physical Education seriously at ACA. Our goal is that every student gains not only physical strength and endurance, but also general knowledge in health and nutrition while demonstrating good sportsmanship and Christ-like character.
Students attend computer class twice a week. Younger students learn in the lab by playing games that complement and enrich grade level content. They also learn basic computer terms and navigation. Our middle students practice keyboarding while learning word processing. Our upper level students use the lab for research, learning the Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and even learn some simple programming.
All students attend Spanish class weekly. Students learn common vocabulary, short phrases, and Hispanic culture.
The ACA library has a great selection of interesting books for our students to borrow.
